Joni Mitchell has, in fact, seen Life from Both Sides Now and Then.

Joni Mitchell  Both Sides Now      I first met Joni Mitchell in the 60's. At dinner I told her that Artists usually write for the musical instrument they are. If their singing range is limited, they tend to write simpler melodies; if they have a range as great as yours, Joni, they tend to write more complex melodies that show off their vocal abilities. I personally prefer your lower range where I think you are better. Joni had nodes on her vocal cords, so for awhile she was forced to sing in her lower range. Here's a live performance that is one of the best she's ever done.
